Project #31: Artistic ShowcaseThe moral of this story, function and lighting. This couple recently purchased this beautiful view home, but there were some elements that had to change. The clients were avid art collectors and have an extensive collection. The layout, color and lack of lighting made the environment depressing. The first task was to light the spaces properly. Our second task was to create customized storage and display space to meet the clients’ needs and make the new elements look as they belonged to the original design. This set the stage to showcase their amazing collections. Company: Phase II General Contractor (253) 582-2810 Project #32: Built -Ins ABOUNDThe owners of this 1956 lake-front home desired updated millwork and built-ins to replace builder grade items from a previous remodel. Custom millwork and cabinetry and a window seat were designed to fill the living room, imparting character to the previously bland space and providing the perfect backdrop for a new fireplace. The entry hall received reconfigured closets with new French doors, a custom bench seat by the front door and wainscot paneling to the ceiling to add a timeless quality. Stately millwork and built-ins abound, blending new and old seamlessly and breathing new life into this well deserving home! Company: MRF Construction Inc. (253) 752-6950 Project #33: Fireplace RefreshOriginally coming to us to for a fireplace refresh, our clients were pleasantly surprised with the “outside the box” idea we presented to them. With a full view of the lake, our clients wanted to bring pacific northwest vibe inside their home. We provided them with a unified wall for their fireplace and TV, additional storage and more seating. We achieved their aesthetic goals by using reclaimed wood, shiplap, porcelain wood plank tiles, and nautical sconces. They are so happy to have extra seating and storage . . . they said it feels like a whole new room! Company: American Dream Design Build (253) 539-4000
